You can’t go wrong with a hot bowl of ramen on a cold day 😀
Get a packet of Ramen noodles from a departmental store near you. Normally 1 packet will be enough for two.
- Chicken broth (vegetable or any other broth will do fine)
- Spring onions
- Chili powder
- Coriander leaves
- Cheddar cheese (optional)
- Chicken Breast (optional)
Take a saucepan and add 2 cups of water. After the water starts to boil add the ramen noodles and turn the heat into medium. Cover the pan and cook for 3-4 minutes. While this is being done, chop an onion finely and few leaves of spring onions. Chop two cloves of garlic into fine pieces. Now drain the water and wash the noodles with cold water properly. This will make the noodles soft and chewy.
Keep the washed noodles aside and heat the saucepan again with 2 cups of chicken broth. (You can use vegetable broth or water as well) Wait for the broth to get warm and add the veggies you prepared a while ago. Add salt to taste and chili powder if you want it spicy. A packet of spice comes along with the noodle, add that too. Beat an egg and add it to the pan. Now cook this for about 3-4 minutes in medium heat.
Now take a frying pan and add a tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add salt and pepper to thinly sliced chicken breast. Pop these sliced chicken to the heated oil and cook for about 3 minutes.
By now the veggies must be done. Add the washed noodles in the saucepan and mix well. Turn the heat off and add the noodles in a bowl. Add some coriander leaves. Grate the cheddar cheese from top and add the chicken. You can also boil some eggs and add it instead of the chicken. You can skip the cheese part and add just meat and eggs too. You can’t go wrong with some corns, potatoes and carrots as well. Add whatever you like. Go with your instincts :p
